Rhinoplasty · Webster, Texas
A nose in harmony with your face.
The nose is the centerpiece of the face. When it is in harmony with your features, it no longer draws attention; you simply see the person. Rhinoplasty is Dr. Hu's primary area of expertise, where her advanced training in facial plastic surgery and nasal function come together to create results that are balanced, natural, and uniquely yours.
About the procedure
Form. Function. Precision.
The nose is the centerpiece of the face, where even subtle refinements can transform facial harmony. Dr. Hu restores and supports the underlying structure before refining the shape, creating results that look natural, function beautifully, and remain stable over time. As one of the most intricate procedures in facial plastic surgery, rhinoplasty demands precision, artistry, and a deep understanding of nasal anatomy, because the best results honor both form and function.

What patients notice
Balanced, proportionate, and natural.
Most patients don't come in asking for a particular nose, they come in wanting to feel more comfortable with the way their nose looks or functions. Whether the concern is a prominent hump, a rounded tip, asymmetry, a crooked nose, or difficulty breathing, Dr. Hu begins by understanding your goals and carefully evaluating your anatomy. Together, you'll define a plan that creates a nose in harmony with your face, natural in appearance, functional in design, and uniquely yours.

The approach
Built on function. Refined for balance.
A successful rhinoplasty begins with a strong foundation. Dr. Hu restores and supports the structures responsible for healthy breathing before thoughtfully refining the nose to complement your unique facial proportions. Every detail is planned in harmony with the eyes, lips, and surrounding features, creating a result that looks natural, functions beautifully, and feels as though it has always belonged to your face.

The difference
No templates. Just personalized rhinoplasty.
Every rhinoplasty should be as individual as the patient. Rather than pursuing a single aesthetic, Dr. Hu creates a surgical plan tailored to your anatomy, goals, and facial balance. In revision rhinoplasty, she frequently addresses issues caused by excessive tissue removal or loss of structural support, restoring both appearance and function for lasting results.

Candidacy
Is rhinoplasty right for you?
Good candidates for rhinoplasty are generally healthy, have completed facial growth, and are motivated by their own goals, not outside expectations. Dr. Hu considers the unique characteristics of each nose, including skin quality, cartilage support, facial harmony, and nasal function, to determine what approach will create the most natural and lasting result.

Recovery
Recovery is a journey. Not a race.
Rhinoplasty is a process that unfolds over time. During the first week, a nasal cast, splints, and tape support the healing nose and are removed at your one-week follow-up. As healing progresses, most patients feel socially presentable around one month, while residual swelling gradually resolves and the nose continues to refine over the following months. The final result is revealed with patience, often between 9 and 12 months as the tissues settles.
Recovery
A gentle, predictable recovery.
The first few days are focused on reducing swelling and supporting healing with icepack. Swelling peaks around day 3 to 5. A small, hidden stitch is removed at your one-week follow-up, and most patients return to their normal routines shortly afterward. As swelling continues to resolve, the eyes gradually appear more rested, open, and refreshed.

recovery timeline
Give it a year to fully settle.
The inside heals within four to six weeks. The outside takes longer, settling in stages before the final refinement shows.
